Adam Tavares was a councilmanic aid to Julissa Ferreras, councilmember for the 21st District, before becoming a lawyer in 2014. He realized there was a need in the Hispanic community for good Spanish speaking lawyers and became an immigration attorney. He is an active member in the Hispanic Community and was the former President of the DREAM Foundation and Treasurer of the Long Island Hispanic Bar Association.
